That place is the shit!! I went yesterday to check it out and they have some great food. Lots of low calorie foods and at affordable prices. I used to bitch that it costs too much to each healthy but I will be getting all my food from here. If anyone has one around them you should check it out. Good stuff.

For sure, anyone without a Trader Joe's nearby is definitely missing out. It's really a shame cuz they're not in too many states.

There was a whole foods place right near it so I went into both. Whole Foods had good stuff but really marked up. Although I do understand its all super organic and that does cost $$. I came out of Trader Joes with lunch, 3 dinners, snacks, for like $20. It sounds stupid but I bought a bag of low calorie popcorn for like $3 and what impressed me the most was that the bag was actually full to the brim. I didnt open it and it was half empty allready, you really get good quality there. Anyway anyone trying to eat alittle healthier should see if they have one nearby.

My Bud manages one here in town. He does say that he does not believe what people will pay for organics.

I am not judging but I think it is another fad that will make money for many and cost us more. Would I prefer to eat it, sure, but how do I know where and how is was grown or farmed, who handled it and so on. I do think that if you maintain a healthy diet and exercise you will be better off but. I just have many questions about the whole process.

buster I think you should be excited. They make it real easy to shave a few hundred calories a day depending on how you eat now. I can actually snack on things during the day now. They have something for everyone, snacks, meals, drinks, tons of other things and actually affordable. Im not trying to sell this place im just saying I have gont to the grocery store and spend tons of money and had a hard time picking things out. Next time I go I will fill up my fridge and probably spend $80.

THEN I LOOK FORWARD TO IT! and as far as the parking goes i will have no problem whatsoever as they are moving into a former grocery store(which coincidently) i happened to have been a mgr at when it opened 17 years ago!

NOW YOU GOT ME EXCITED AND WHEN THEY OPEN IN AUGUST I WILL COME BACK IN THIS THREAD AND LET YOU KNOW OF MY EXPERIENCE!

With fruits/veggies there are some that are musts, and some that are not as important. I could ask my mom for more information, because she's the expert, but strawberries are a must to be organic. Stuff like bananas doesn't have to be.

TV:

I like their dried nuts and fruits too. I like the pistachios and cranberries. They offer salted and unsalted nuts so make sure you choose the right one.

I absolutely love their frozen French Onion soup. Tastes as good as a restaurant soup.

They have some decent wines too.

Yes, their wines and beers are both excellent and priced to move too. You are very lucky to live so close to one.

Buster, you will be very impressed with TJ's, I'm predicting you'll be a regular come August.

Man I didnt even notice they had wine. The day I was there I bought some sushi for lunch (would normally not from a grocery store) and it was really fresh and well made. I am going back this weekend to stock up and will be sure to get some wine and soup. Honestly after shopping there and eating some of the meals I bought I really cant see myself going back to the grocery store. I put my money where my mouth is Buster I really think you will be impressed.

Denny - in Mass., some have more to offer than others. The best one imo is in Cambridge on Memorial, excellent wine and beer selection where not all have this. It is worthwhile to do a 'big shop' for the month, especially with what tehy offer in frozen veggies, entrees, desserts, etc. Really fantastic stuff that tastes good and not expensive, most take 4-5 min. in microwave and your good. Mexican and oriental entrees are very good.
RE: organic foods, bit of a crapshoot I've found everywhere - suspect some items identical to 'non' organic counterpart and twice the price.
